From the left most letter, the individual lights will continue to get shorter and shorter until they reach a center point.  The center point is where a light shining through the text would be shining directly at you, and not coming from an angle.  As letters from the left approach the center point, the length that the light stretches outward decreases until it reaches the center.  The center light effect is a different effect, and we’ll cover this once we’ve dealt with the rest of the letters.
